Speas Fish Hatchery and the Wyoming Fly Caster’s Memorial Access is a great place to come and view wildlife during the winter.  There is over a mile of walking trail with interpretive displays and wildlife viewing benches.  This time of year there is a large amount of waterfowl using the area as well as bald eagles and other wildlife.  Most recently the bald eagles have been putting on some great aerial displays as well as other birds of prey.  The access area is also used by animals from deer to mink. Make the short drive from Casper; YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE!

The Wyoming Fly Caster’s Memorial Access and the Speas Fish Hatchery is located 7 miles outside of Casper, WY off of state highway 220.  Turn right on Bessemer Bend Road, follow the signs until you cross the N. Platte river and turn left on Speas Road.  The access is a mile and a half on the left hand side of the road.
