Bring along plenty of ice and coolers to transport game meat. If you have to pack the animal out any distance be sure to quarter the animal, bone the meat out and get the hide off of the animal. Then place the meat in game bags for transport. Also, with the heat comes the bugs. So, it may be necessary to keep the meat clean, dry, and bagged so the flies do not ruin it. Another consideration is, if you find yourself in an area where it is a long ways to pack the meat and it is too hot, it may be better to not harvest the animal and risk losing the meat. Wait for another day. It should cool off soon.
