No- hunting with an airbow is not legal in Wyoming for taking big game and trophy game animals or wild turkey. The airbow is an air-powered device that shoots arrows for hunting. Airbows or other airguns are only legal to take predatory animals, such as coyotes or raccoons, or small game.

Under Wyoming Game and Fish Commission Chapter 32, Regulation Governing Firearm Cartridges and Archery Equipment, an airbow does not meet  the definition of archery equipment or legal firearms for hunting purposes.

It is the sportsperson’s responsibility to read and know the Wyoming hunting regulations. These regulations are available at any Game and Fish office and online. For questions regarding regulations, please contact (307) 777-4600, and happy hunting this fall.
