The Salt River - Freedom Bridge Public Access Area (PAA) is located on an easement on the Salt River, 4 miles south of Etna, Wyoming. The PAA is accessed from State Hwy 239 via Hwy 89, this PAA has a single parking area. This PAA provides parking for fishing and hunting access only, no camping or fires. Fishing for Snake River Cutthroat, Brown, Rainbow Trout, and Mountain Whitefish is excellent on the Salt River. The Salt River - Freedom Bridge does not have a boat launch. In the riparian areas along the river, moose, White-tailed deer, and Mule deer are common. The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
