The Raymond Mountain Public Access Area (PAA) is 1.8 acres of the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission owned property purchased through a cooperative effort between the Clark family and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) that provides an access road, parking area, restroom facilities and horse corrals for pedestrian and horseback (non-motorized) access to Groo Canyon and the Raymond Mountain Wilderness Study Area in the Sublette mountain range. Hunters and wildlife enthusiests can find elk, deer, moose, mountain lions and black bears in the rugged high country. No camping, shooting, open fires, or fireworks allowed in the parking area. Recreational livestock must be tied and fed (certified weed free hay required). Please limit travel to the path provided across private property to Groo Canyon and please close gates. The access road is located 8.2 miles north of Cokeville, WY on Hwy 89/30 W. The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
