The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission own North Platte River – Sechrist Public Access Area. The 82-acre Sechrist PAA is 16 miles southwest of Casper on Wyoming Highway 220. There is a parking area and just over 3/4 mile of river access for fishing. The area features a comfort station, improved boat ramp, and a handicap-accessible fishing pier. The river provides quality fishing year-round for rainbow and brown trout as well as hunting opportunities. No camping or fires allowed. WGFD does not plow the access road and parking area in the winter.
