North Laramie River – Funkhouser PAA is located 25 miles west of Wheatland off the Murphy Canyon road which connects to the Fletcher Park Road. The area is managed by the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission for public fishing access to the North Laramie River. The area provides 2 miles of river access and 16 acres for fishing that extends from midstream of the stream outward to 33’ above the high water line. The river provides quality fishing year round for brown trout. The North Laramie river is vital for the Iowa Darter, Horneyhead Chub, and Boreal Toad.
