The Airport Public Access Area (PAA) provides road access, parking, restrooms, and a boat launch site for fishing and hunting on Wyoming State Land and downstream adjacent BLM lands with a 50’ public fishing only easement on private lands(Ecklund). The New Fork river hosts a variety of fish including Rainbow trout, Brown trout, Mountain Whitefish, and an occasional Snake River Cutthroat trout. The riparian corridor hosts moose, deer, and a variety of small game animals and waterfowl. The parking area is located 4.5 miles south of Pinedale, WY. Take Runway Lane to the gravel pit (watch for equipment working) and follow signs to the access and parking area. State Land restrictions apply (no off-road vehicle travel, open fires, or camping). The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
