The Green River Sommers Boat Launch (PAA) is managed by the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission through an agreement with Sommers Ranch and Sublette County. The access is a fenced area adjacent to the Green river that provides for parking, boat launching, and restroom facilities. The parking area is also for the Sommers-Grindstone walk-in fishing easement. A variety of game fish species are found in the upper Green including Brown trout, Rainbow trout, and Mountain Whitefish. No hunting, camping, fires, pets, dogs, horses, vehicles or bicycles are allowed. The boat ramp access is closed for the months of April and May to reduce disturbance during calving season unless otherwise posted. Please close the gates, as this is a working cattle ranch. There is no public access across the Sommers Bridge. Locate this access by driving 4.4 miles northwest of Pinedale, travel south on East Green River Road (Sublette County Rd 23-110) for 7.5 miles, pass through the gate at Sommer's Homestead Ranch, access is on the left before the bridge. The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
