The Blue Rim Road Public Access Area (PAA) established in 1966, is an access road and parking area on State land along the Green river near the town of Green River, WY. The lower Green river is popular for float and bank fishing and offers a fair chance at catching big Brown, Rainbow and Cutthroat trout. Riparian areas support cottonwoods, willows, and other vegetation necessary for bank stabilization and wildlife. Moose, Mule deer, and antelope inhabit the area. State land rules apply (no camping), please pack out your trash and assist with conserving the habitat. The Blue Rim PAA can be visited via the Blue Rim road (Sweetwater County Rd 5), 3.5 miles northwest of Green River, WY. The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
