The Coco Belle van Meerendonk Public Access Area (Coco Belle PAA) was purchased by the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission through a cooperative effort between the Van Meerendonk family and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). This unique property is one of the few access points to thousands of acres of public land. This PAA creates contiguous public access from the lowlands of the Teton River Valley through Bureau of Land Management land to the 123,450 acre Jedediah Smith Wilderness Area and Grand Teton National Park to the east. The property consists mainly of grass hay meadows with surrounding riparian areas, mountain shrub, aspen, and conifer habitats, as well as agricultural lands. Coco Belle PAA, and the surrounding area, is year round habitat for elk, moose, White-tailed and Mule deer. Please use established parking area, respect private property, no camping, no fires and pets must be leashed or under control. Coco Belle PAA is 5 miles east, northeast of Driggs, Idaho.
