The Bear River Public Access Area (PAA) is located north of Evanston just northeast of Woodruff Narrows Reservoir PAA. Four wheel drive is recommended to travel over the easement road on Hanks Hill to reach the Bear River PAA parking area and easements. Fish for Bear River Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Brown trout. Vehicle access is limited to the access road and off road travel is not permitted past the parking area. Camping is allowed within the parking area but not on the pedestrian hunting and fishing easements. Take Highway 89 north from Evanston 12 miles traveling through the town of Bear River, WY turn onto Unita County Rd 101 and follow it to the access areas and reservoir.
