Viva Naughton Reservoir Public Access Area (PAA) is a Wyoming Game and Fish Commission managed public easement provided by PacifiCorp that provides for several access sites for fishing and hunting with some area restrictions. It is the sportsperson’s responsibility to determine land boundaries and restrictions. There are four access parking areas with restroom facilities, two boat ramp locations with docks, campsites, and a day use picnic area. Camping is limited to 7 days in designated camping areas with an open camping area at Dempsey Point on the northwest end of the reservoir. Campfires are allowed in designated areas, no fireworks allowed, and motorized travel is limited to designated roads (except snowmobiles). No motorized access on the Hydro Plant access road below the dam, and fishing from the dam is not allowed. Fishing for Rainbow, Cutthroat, Brown and Tiger trout. Some access roads are opened for annual ice fishing during winter but most are not plowed for the winter season. Antelope, deer, and waterfowl are common along the lakeshore and surrounding BLM and state lands. Lake Viva Naughton is a reservoir located just 15.9 miles from Kemmerer, WY on Wyoming Highway 223.
