Penrose Trailhead lies within the mountain community of Story, WY and originates from the Story Fish Hatchery, one of a handful of hatcheries that the Wyoming Game and Fish Department operate to rear and dispense several species of game fish. The trail (#033) offers access to the Bighorn National Forest and winds its way from an elevation of 5,000 feet up to 9,000 feet where you will gain access to high mountain lakes and streams like Willow Park Reservoir as well as other trails and access routes. Trail is closed to motorized use 3/30-6/15 except for snowmobiles on snow 11/16-5-15.
