The North Platte River Barnes Bridge PAA is located 6 mile west of Lingle along Highway 157 at the North Platte River. The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission has managed the area since 1983 and within the WYDOT right of way and the North Platte River. One parking areas provide access to approximately 8 miles of river access for fishing downstream from Barnes Bridge PAA to Rawhide Wildlife Habitat Management Area. The river provides quality fishing year round for an abundance of brown and rainbow trout, Walleye, and channel catfish. Water over private lands is public, but river banks and land under the river are private. If your boat is anchored while on private land, you are in trespass violation. It is illegal to beach a watercraft without permission from the landowner.
