Muddy Guard Reservoirs offer high quality fishing for Brook, Brown, and Rainbow Trout, as well as Splake and Tiger Trout. Muddy Guard Reservoir #2 is accessible by traveling 1.3 miles off Old Highway 87 to the convergence of County Road 14 and 43. Head south on County Road 43 for 2.25 miles to destination where you will find a graveled parking lot and ADA accessible comfort station. From here, a small hike up a hill and over the dam will allow access to fishing. Muddy Guard Reservoir #1 has a primitive boat ramp and graveled parking lot accessed by traveling 4.7 miles on County Road 14 from Old Highway 87. Access to the locations off the county roads are not plowed in the winter, travel can be limited due to weather conditions.
