The 40-Rod Public Access Area (PAA) in Daniel, WY on the Green river is 80 acres of Wyoming Game and Fish Commission owned land allowing for hunting, fishing, camping, floating and wildlife viewing. The parking area has two designated camp sites, a boat launch, and restrooms. A variety of game fish species are found in the upper Green including Brown and Rainbow trout, and Mountain Whitefish. Moose, Mule deer, and antelope frequent the access area. A tour of the Daniel Fish Hatchery is a short distance away. The 40-Rod PAA is located on Pape Rd (Sublette County Rd 23-150) 13 miles northwest of Pinedale on Hwy 191. The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
