Salt Creek - Segment No. 1

Heading Location: From confluence with Packstring Creek down to boundary between State Section and private property.

How to get there: Salt Creek is a long way from anywhere, but right on a paved road. From Smoot, take highway 89 about 14 miles south to where Packstring Creek enters the stream. The instream flow segment extends downstream from this point another 2 miles to the national forest boundary and then another 2.5 miles or so through state property. There are several designated places to pull off the highway to reach the stream.
