CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is offering its game warden exam at nine locations across Wyoming and also in California, Colorado, and Montana Feb. 22 - March 31.
To qualify for the exam, applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree in a wildlife-related field or be on track to earn the degree by July 15. Interested individuals must submit the Request to Take 2012 Game Warden Exam and a copy of college transcripts prior to the registration deadline, which is generally four days prior to the test deadline.
Applicants who pass the written portion of the game warden examination process will compete for an opportunity to move on to the remaining portion of the testing, including an oral interview, polygraph test, psychological assessments, job suitability profile, and background check. Individuals who successfully complete the process will be placed on a list from which game wardens, senior game wardens and regional access coordinators are selected.
The exam will be offered in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Jackson, Green River, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan. Out-of-state locations include Arcata, Calif., Ft. Collins, Colo., and Bozeman, Mont.
