CHEYENNE - Fifty nine artists representing 18 states including 22 from Wyoming will have their work judged this Friday, April 13, at Game and Fish headquarters in Cheyenne to see which painting will be selected to be displayed on the 2013 Wyoming conservation Stamp.
The reception will be held at Game and Fish headquarters, 5400 Bishop Blvd. in Cheyenne. Judging will take place on the afternoon of April 13. Following the judging, the Wyoming Wildlife- The Foundation and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host a reception open to the public beginning at 5 p.m. with winners announced at 6 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
The winning artist will receive a cash award of $3,500 and the right to have their work reproduced on the 2013 conservation stamp. Approximately 100,000 conservation stamps are printed each year.
All paintings will remain on display at Game and Fish Headquarters through May 11.
