CHEYENNE - The Chug Creek chapter of Pheasants Forever has committed to donating $2,000 each to Hunter Safety, 4H shooting sports, and Walk-in Access programs in Wyoming for 2012.
In addition, the chapter is allocating their remaining budget to habitat improvement projects. Areas of primary focus will be lands located in the Chugwater and Slater areas. Lands enrolled in the CRP and the Game and Fish Walk-in area programs will receive priority.
Area wildlife biologist Martin Hicks thanked the Chug Creek Chapter for their generous donation. "This is a great example of their partnership and commitment to wildlife conservation helping wildlife," Hicks said.
Regional habitat extension biologist Ryan Amundson thanked the Chug Creek chapter for their dedication to wildlife programs. "Having the support of a group like this is a big help and makes our job easier," Amundson said. "The Game and Fish along with area hunters will benefit from the group's efforts. The chapter is to be commended for their vision and passion for wildlife habitat, youth education, and public access."
