Public meeting to discuss CWD management options for deer herds on the east side of the Big Horn Basin
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invites hunters, landowners and other interested persons to attend a public meetings beginning at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall in Greybull to continue a discussion about chronic wasting disease (CWD) and potential management options for several hunt areas in the eastern portion of the Big Horn Basin.

The discussion will focus on deer deer hunt areas 164, 41 and 47, but deer hunt areas 35, 37, 39 and 40 will also be discussed.

Fairgrounds in Worland to continue a discussion about chronic wasting disease (CWD) and potential management options for several hunt areas in the eastern portion of the Big Horn Basin.

Northeast Wyoming Sage Grouse Local Working Group February meeting

The Northeast Wyoming Sage Grouse Local Working Group will hold a meeting Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 from 9 a.m. to noon at Peregrine Global Services, 640 N. Hwy. 14-16 in Gillette.

The meeting will be a hybrid format with participants having the option to join in-person or virtually via Zoom.

The Northeast Wyoming Local Sage Grouse Working Group is one of eight local working groups statewide. It is comprised of local citizens representing groups interested in sage grouse conservation. The role of the group is to develop and set in motion a local conservation plan to benefit sage grouse and, whenever feasible, other species that use sagebrush habitats.

All interested members of the public are encouraged to attend.

2022 Gillette Season Setting Open House
Please join us between 4 and 6 p.m. for our annual season setting open house at the Campbell County Library in Gillette.

Hunters, landowners and others may drop in at any time during the two-hour timeframe.

Game and Fish wardens and biologists will be available to provide information about local herd units and suggested seasons, answer questions and listen to feedback and opinions on the proposals.
