WILDLIFE IN WYOMING

Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

-Verified five (5) calves and one (1) yearling as being killed or injured by grizzly bears in the Pinedale Region.
 
-Verified two (2) calves as being killed or injured by grizzly bears in the Lander Region.
 
 
Research and Monitoring
 
-Captured an adult female and a subadult male grizzly bear for monitoring purposes.  Samples were taken and both individuals were radio-collared.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
-Nothing to report.
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
-Nothing to report.
 
Outreach and Education
 
-Presented bear safety information to a Pinedale hunter safety class.
 
-Presented bear safety information to a Lander Community Youth Camp.
 
-Displayed the “Bear Trailer” and interacted with attendees at Pinedale Rendezvous Days.
