Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

-     Verified one (1) calf and one (1) yearling heifer as killed by grizzly bears in the Cody Region.
 
-     Verified eleven (11) calves and one (1) yearling as killed or injured by grizzly bears on Forest Service grazing allotments in the Pinedale Region.
 
Research and Monitoring
 
  • Conducted multiple grizzly bear observation flights, documented grizzly bear distribution and reproduction.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
  • Nothing to report.
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
  • Nothing to report.
 
Outreach and Education
 
  • Manned an educational bear booth at Pinedale Rendezvous Days.
 
  • Presented bear safety information to boy scouts at the Buffalo Bill Boy Scout Camp.
 
  • Presented carnivore management/safety information to Fremont County 4H students.
 
  • Presented bear safety information to the Boys & Girls Club in Casper.
 
  • Monitored bear activities along state highways; multiple discussions with the public and visitors to the area on bear safety and awareness.
