Geospatial Data

For a richer user experience, try our Esri-hosted "Open Data" site to acquire Wyoming Game & Fish authoritative geospatial data! It is located here: Wyoming Game and Fish Open Data. This site offers users the ability to review data set descriptions, preview data in tabular and map form, and save data in multiple formats. But if you need complete metadata content, the Open Data site does not currently package up all the metadata we include for some data and you should proceed to download data here at this website by following the links below.

Format:	Esri Shapefile (with a couple of exceptions in file-GDB format to preserve long attribute headings and/or grouped content)
Compression Utility:	Microsoft default - Compressed (zipped) folder
Projection:	WyLAM (Wyoming Lambert Conformal Conic)
Datum:	NAD83 (North American 1983; Spheroid GRS 1980)
Extent:	Statewide, or the full extent of the theme if less than statewide
Metadata Content:	We maintain a standard for metadata content, and this is a prerequisite to the automatic distribution of our geospatial data
