Hunter input requested for 2020 hunting seasons


LARAMIE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding public meetings and has opened a comment period to gather input on proposed big game, wild turkey, upland game bird, small game, wild bison, migratory game bird and light goose conservation order hunting seasons and the general hunting regulation. All interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the public meetings to be held in southeast Wyoming to discuss the 2020 hunting season proposals:

  • Saratoga: Tuesday, March 24, 6 p.m., Saratoga Town Hall, 110 E. Spring Ave.

  • Torrington: Wednesday, March 25, 6 p.m., Platte Valley Bank Conference room, 2201 Main St.

  • Wheatland: Thursday, March 26, 6 p.m., Platte County Public Library, 904 9th St.

  • Cheyenne: Friday, March 27, 6 p.m., WGFD Headquarters, 5400 Bishop Blvd.

  • Laramie: Monday, March 30, 6 p.m., Laramie Regional Office. 1212 S. Adams St.

Live, online coverage of the big game and game bird discussion will be available during the Laramie meeting on March 30. Participants will be able to view the live forum and ask questions via computer by logging on to: 

Written comments shall be accepted through 5 p.m. on April 3, 2020 at public meetings, online or by mailing: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604. Copies of the proposed regulations are available on the Game and Fish website. Written comments shall be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to the public hearing at their April 2020 meeting in Riverton.
