Platte County migration corridor public meeting

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invites members of the public to join in discussions about the management of mule deer migration corridors in the Platte Valley. Presentation on the process Game and Fish uses to designate migration corridors, as well as how they formulate recommendations to land management agencies. The meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Platte Valley Community Center, 201 W. Elm Street in Saratoga.

South Central Sage Grouse Working Group meeting

The public is invited to attend the next meeting of the South Central Sage Grouse Working Group and provide input on updating the sage-grouse Executive Order. The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Platte Valley Community Center, 201 W. Elm Street in Saratoga.

Hunter education class in Encampment

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will offer a hunter education class in Encampment beginning on March 9.
            The class will meet in the library at the Encampment School, 514 Rankin Ave., from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, March 9, 11, 16, 18, 30, and April 1. No classes will be held the week of March 23 due to spring break. A mandatory field day will be held on Saturday, April 4.
            There is a $10 fee per student, cash only please. Students must attend all class sessions to earn a hunter education certificate. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult for all class sessions.
