New office provides value to community, better services to public

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is building a new regional office building in Cody, and we are excited to invest in the Bighorn Basin. Game and Fish is committed to keeping you informed about this construction project. To sign up for regular updates, enroll in our email list.

The new Game and Fish regional office in Cody will add value to the community and allow us to provide better services to the public. Plans for the building include:

  • A large ADA compliant community meeting room that can be used for public meetings, hunter education courses, workshops and other non-profit events
  • An AIS check station which will replace the current North Cody check station near Newton Lake Road
  • Easier and safer location and parking for the public
  • More space at the front counter to accommodate customers

Wyoming Game and Fish Department remains on-schedule with construction for the new Cody Regional office. BHI, the construction company hired to build the office building, broke ground the last week of April, marking the beginning of a one-year construction phase of the project. The groundbreaking comes after a decade of planning to bring a community facility to the Cody area that will best serve the public. Please contact Game and Fish at or 307-527-7125 with questions about the project.
