Exceptions: Note pedestrian access is immediately along bank from south parking area up stream, and 50' above high water at north parking area. No camping at downstream northern parking area.
Recreation Opportunities: Fishing, Hunting, Trapping, Camping, Hiking, Wildlife Viewing, Floating.
Amenities: Comfort Station, Boat launch at south parking area.
Restrictions: Limited to easement area marked with signs
Additional Restrictions: Access road and parking not plowed during winter. Camping limit 5 days. No Collection of shed antlers or horns January 1-May 1 at 6:00 AM

Upper North Platte Float Map

The area was purchased in 1948 and is located 1 mile South of Woods Landing. The area comprises 640 acres of fee title, and 140 acres, which are public fishing easements across private property. There are two parking areas, one of which is developed with an outhouse. The Jelm area was purchased primarily as winter range for mule deer. The additional fishing easements provide public access to two miles of the Laramie River on private lands. The area provides hunting access and fishing access year round.
 
Camping limit is 5 days.
 
Jelm is open all year.
