Game and Fish Commission to meet in Riverton, public welcomed

The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission’s next meeting is approaching, and the public is invited to hear important information and meet the newly-appointed commissioners.

Cheyenne - The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission’s next meeting is approaching, and the public is invited to hear important information and meet the newly-appointed commissioners. The meeting is March 23-24, 2017 in Riverton, Wyoming at the Riverton Holiday Inn, 900 E. Sunset Dr.

This will be the first meeting for three new Game and Fish Commissioners: Gay Lynn Byrd (R) from Glenrock, District 7; Peter Dube (R) from Buffalo, District 4; and Mike Schmid (R) from LaBarge, District 3. Topics the Commission will address at this meeting include: electing a new Commission president and vice president, a legislative update, updates on the Laramie Regional Office/Lab construction and Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp renovation, statewide winter conditions, grizzly bear population demographics, and fiscal year 2018 budget discussions.

In-person public comment periods for feedback are on March 23 and 24; an agenda can be found on the Commission website. The meeting will also be live-streamed online. Learn more and watch here.
