Fishing closure in place on Green River to protect fish

GREEN RIVER-The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is reminding anglers about the fishing closure in place to protect fish on the Green River below Fontenelle Dam. This closure has been in place for many years to protect trout and kokanee salmon spawning in that stretch of the river. The first mile of the river from Fontenelle Dam to the cable crossing just above Weeping Rock Campground is closed from October 1 through December 31.

Public meeting to discuss black bear hunting seasons

 
GREEN RIVER- The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Green River Region Office to discuss proposed changes to Chapter 3, Black Bear Hunting Seasons.  Game and Fish personnel will provide insight into black bear management and populations trends, as well as discuss proposed statewide and regional regulation changes.  All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
