The Expo will be open from 9am-3pm. It is free and open to the public.
Step one experiences are individualized experiences designed to help anyone take a first step toward learning to hunt. There are two Step One experiences available and both are offered on Saturday May 7th. Space is limited so pre-register to save your spot.
In the Introduction to Shooting a Compound Bow you'll learn the basics of shooting a compound bow for hunting, including bow fit and set-up. Participants will use compound bows with adjustable draw weights to simulate an archery hunting experience. Instructors include Game Warden Matt Lentsch and mentors from the Paintrock Hunter Mentor Program and Bowhunters of Wyoming. This is most appropriate for adults and older youth. It will last about an hour and occurs on the half-hour from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.. Pre-register now
The Mentored Expo Experience can be individualized to the method of hunting you are interested in (shotgun, rifle, archery or muzzleloader.) Participants will visit Expo booths appropriate to the method with a First Hunt Foundation mentor to help ask and answer questions - including shooting experiences if that is of interest. All ages welcome. The mentored Expo experiences last about 2 hours and begin at 9:30a.m. and 12:30 p.m.. Pre-register now
If you would like to participate in both Experiences, please complete the form twice - once for each Experience.
