All 2020 Wyoming hunting seasons are a go, and we are looking forward to a robust and successful fall hunt! There have been no hunting season cancellations or regulation changes. We expect hunters will take full advantage of spending time outdoors pursuing the great variety of game species, from rabbits to turkeys to elk, with many bringing home great table fare.

No matter what you hunt this fall, remember to:

  • Review the regulations: Hunters should review the appropriate hunting season regulations before going afield.
  • Be safe afield. Practice good firearm safety and never travel in a vehicle with your firearm loaded.
  • Carry your required licenses, stamps, permits and proof of hunter education. Have them on your person while hunting.
  • Wear fluorescent orange or pink. It’s required if you’re hunting big or trophy game in the regular season and in some instances, pheasants. You must wear at least one exterior garment visible from any direction.
  • Stop at hunter check stations. It’s the law if you have been hunting, regardless if you have any game with you or not - but it is also helpful for hunters. This is your chance to ask Game and Fish questions about hunting or conditions on the ground. Biologists and wardens at the checkstations can also help with taking chronic wasting disease samples from deer, elk and moose.

We wish you a safe and successful hunting season! To stay updated on any unforeseen changes, visit the Game and Fish website often.
