es, you are restricted to species, sex, age class and harvest limitations that are in effect for each hunt area. You can see those restrictions in the “limitations” column of the regulations. Here are some specific details on general licenses:
 
  • If you have a general license for any species, you have to still follow the limitations for the general hunt area.
  • For big game, general licenses are available for deer and elk.
  • Resident general deer licenses are valid in any area listed as “General” in the license column of our Antelope-Deer-Elk Brochure. Nonresident region general deer licenses are valid in any hunt area that is not limited-quota within that region.
  • A general elk license allows resident and nonresident hunters to hunt any area listed as “General” in the license column of our Antelope-Deer-Elk Brochure; check the season the season dates and limitations each general hunt area.
