This is an important question for hunters. Hunters have until October 31, 2016 to purchase your preference points for the 2017 hunt season. Hunters are reminded that if they fail to purchase a preference point for that species for two consecutive years, they will lose all points accumulated for that species.  Preference points can be purchased online through the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website or any Game and Fish office.  

Preference point prices are based on residency, species, and youth eligibility. The prices are:

Resident Prices:

• Moose: $7.00
• Bighorn Sheep: $7.00

Nonresident Prices:

• Elk $50.00     (Youth $10.00)
• Deer $40.00   (Youth $10.00)
• Antelope $30.00 (Youth $10.00)
• Moose $75.00
• Bighorn Sheep $100.00
