Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

Research and Monitoring
 
- Nothing to report.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
-Recovered a subadult male grizzly that was hit by a vehicle outside the Demographic Monitoring Area (DMA) in the Cody region.
 
-Captured and removed two (2) male grizzly bears for frequenting developed areas outside the DMA in the Cody region.  Captured and removed a female grizzly that was frequenting a landfill outside the DMA in the Cody region.
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
-Nothing to report.  
 
Outreach and Education
 
-Worked with hunters and sportsmen’s group to provide information regarding bear safety and awareness when hunting and recreating in the outdoors.  Provided a free digital handout on safety on the Bear Wise Wyoming webpage.
 
-Conducted multiple media interviews regarding grizzly bear ecology, conservation, and safety in the field.
