Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

    -       Verified five (5) calves, two (2) yearlings, and one (1) adult cow as being depredated by
grizzly bears on Forest Service grazing allotments in the Pinedale Region.
 
   -        Verified one (1) cow as being depredated by a grizzly bear on a Forest Service grazing
allotment in the Jackson Region.
 
Research and Monitoring
 
-Monitored activity of radio-marked grizzly bears in northwest Wyoming in order to assess seasonal movements.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
-Captured and removed an adult male grizzly bear from private lands in the Pinedale Region after repeated conflicts with cattle and a failed relocation.
 
-Captured and relocated an adult male grizzly bear from a Forest Service grazing allotment in the Pinedale Region after repeated livestock depredations.
 
-Captured and removed a sub-adult male grizzly bear from a Forest Service grazing allotment in the Pinedale Region after repeated livestock depredations.
 
-Captured and relocated one adult female grizzly bear from private lands after getting into garbage in the Cody region.
 
-Captured and removed one subadult male grizzly bear for obtaining garbage food rewards and exhibiting bold behavior in the Cody Region.
 
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
-Assisted U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service law enforcement personnel with multiple investigations regarding grizzly bears in northwest Wyoming.
 
Outreach and Education
 
-           Set up an electric fence around the Teton County Transfer Station carcass pit to reduce
conflicts with black and grizzly bears.
 
-           Provided educational information to hunters and recreationists about bear safety through
direct interaction and multiple media outlets.  Information focused on awareness and
proactive efforts to reduce the likelihood of conflicts.
