Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

 
    -       Verified one (1) calf as depredated by a grizzly bear on a US Forest Service grazing
allotment, and one (1) calf depredation by a grizzly bear on private lands in the Cody Region.
 
Research and Monitoring
 
-Assisted with annual analyses for population demographics
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
-Captured and removed one (1) subadult grizzly bear near Cody for frequenting developed areas and multiple failed relocation attempts.
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
-Nothing to report.
 
Outreach and Education
 
-           Gave a bear safety presentation to employees of Black Hills Energy in Cody.
 
-           Gave a bear safety presentation to a WGFD Hunter Education class in Powell.
 
-           Presented information about human-bear conflict prevention and grizzly bear monitoring
to members of the Farm Bureau at their annual banquet in Powell.
