Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

  • Verified two (2) calves killed by a grizzly bear on private lands in the Cody Region.
 
Research and Monitoring
 
  • Documented multiple female grizzly bears with young throughout northwest Wyoming.
 
  • Captured one adult male grizzly bear for monitoring purposes.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
  • Nothing to report.
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
  • Nothing to report.
 
Outreach and Education
 
  • Conducted two educational hike/tours during the “Spring Into Yellowstone” program in Cody, WY; discussions focused on grizzly bear management and ecology.
 
  • Participated in “Natural History Days”; promoted Bear Wise activities and general bear awareness.
