Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

-     Verified two (2) calves killed or injured by grizzly bears on Forest Service grazing allotments in the Pinedale Region.
 
Research and Monitoring
 
  • Continued capture efforts for monitoring purposes.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
  • Captured and relocated one subadult male grizzly bear from the Pinedale Region for his involvement in two cattle depredations.
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
  • Nothing to report.
 
Outreach and Education
 
  • Presented information on bear safety and ecology to Fremont County residents and visitors at the Lander Outdoor Expo.
 
  • Attended training to provide additional information regarding grizzly bear ecology, safety, and management for web based media.
 
Monitored the activities of roadside bears and activities of people in relation to bear viewing and photography.
