Verified Grizzly Bear Killed Livestock

-     Verified two (2) lambs killed or injured by grizzly bears on Forest Service grazing allotments in the Pinedale Region.
 
-     Verified seven (7) calves and one (1) yearling killed or injured by grizzly bears on Forest
Service grazing allotments in the Pinedale Region.
 
-     Verified one (1) calf killed or injured by grizzly bears on Bureau of Land Management
grazing allotments in the Lander Region.
 
-     Verified one yearling bull killed by a grizzly bear on a Forest Service grazing allotment in
the Jackson Region.
 
Research and Monitoring
 
-Conducted whitebark pine cone count surveys in the Wind River Range.
 
-Monitored movements and activities of radiomarked individuals in association with long range movements, proximity to human developments, and habitat use.
 
Bear Management (Captures, Relocations, and Removals)
 
-Captured and relocated one (1) adult male grizzly in the Cody Region for frequenting a developed area and getting into grain.
 
-Captured and relocated one (1) adult male grizzly bear in the Pinedale Region for depredating domestic sheep on Forest Service grazing allotments.
 
-Captured and relocated one (1) adult male grizzly bear in the Pinedale Region for depredating cattle on a Forest Service grazing allotments.
 
 
Law Enforcement and Related Activities
-Nothing to report
 
Outreach and Education
 
-Presented bear safety and conflict avoidance information to several Forever Wild families at the Whiskey Basin Conservation Camp in Dubois.
 
-Gave an invited presentation for Jackson area attendees on grizzly bear and large carnivore ecology, management, and conflict resolution.
