Cody - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invites the public to an open house with commissioners and department staff from 5 – 6:30 p.m. on March 21 at the Cody Auditorium in Cody. During the open house, lifetime licenses for game bird/small game/fishing/conservation stamp donated by local businesses and individuals will be raffled off to youth in attendance.  Rocky Mountain Discount Sports, the event’s sponsor, will provide refreshments.
Cody Regional Wildlife Supervisor Dan Smith said this is a great opportunity to meet Game and Fish Commissioners and local staff in an informal setting.  “Anyone interested is welcome,” Smith said.  “Youth and families are encouraged to attend as there will be lifetime licenses raffled off for youth as well as other activities for kids.”
The lifetime licenses that will be given away to youth at the event have been donated by local businesses and individuals.  “We appreciate the community’s support for this event,” Smith said.  “Each lifetime license donated is valued at $681.50 and includes a lifetime conservation stamp.  The license affords the winner the opportunity to fish, hunt small game and hunt game birds without purchasing an annual license for their entire lifetime.”

Youth under the age of 18 who meet residency requirements and are at least ten years of age will have the opportunity to win the lifetime small game, bird and fishing licenses. Youth must be present at the time of the drawing to win.
