Camp Wild Local Day Camp -- For students entering 5th-6th grade this fall

The Wyoming Game & Fish Department’s popular wildlife conservation and outdoor recreation summer day camp is returning this summer. The camp is for students entering 5th and 6th grade in fall of 2019. Camps are held in many locations across the state from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Campers will need to bring a water bottle and a lunch each day. Each camper will receive a Camp Wild T-shirt and journal for participating in the camp.

Sundance -  June 4-6 @ Washington Park

Lander - June 11-13 @ Lander City Park: Lion’s Shelter

Cheyenne - June 17-19 @ Cheyenne Botanic Gardens: Children’s Garden

Laramie - June 17-19  @ Happy Jack Recreation Area Trailhead

Green River - June 24-26  @ Green River Game & Fish Office

Dayton - July 1-3  @ Amsden Creek Wildlife Habitat Management Area


Each session will include hands-on learning about wildlife, habitats, aquatic ecology, navigation, team-builders, spincasting or fishing, and archery.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience quality time outside while having fun and learning more about Wyoming’s amazing wildlife, habitat, conservation, and outdoor recreation opportunities.

Camp Wild at Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp  -- 5 day overnight camp for students entering 9th-10th grade this fall

Camp Wild at Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp offers an overnight camp experience for students entering 9th - 10th grade for the 2019-2020 school year.  Both the boys camp and girls camp will focus on exploration of nature, introduction to conservation principles, practicing science, and learning new recreational outdoor activities while giving participants experiences to successfully navigate and positively interact with the outdoor environment. These camps, led by Wyoming Game & Fish Department staff, will allow participants to observe the natural world, engage in wildlife, fish, and habitat biology, and recreate responsibly in the outdoors. Participants will need to bring proper clothing and footwear for outdoor exploration as well as a sleeping bag and other overnight gear. Transportation to and from camp is not provided. Meals will be provided for the duration of the camp.

Cost = $150 for 5 days 4 nights
