Public Asked to Help Solve Deer Poaching Case

CODY - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking information regarding three mule deer that were illegally shot and left to waste southwest of Byron.

Lovell Game Warden James Hobbs said three deer were found shot and left to waste near the intersection of Highway 32 and County Road 2. The deer are believed to have been shot either Saturday, Oct. 11 or Sunday, Oct. 12.

Anyone with information on this crime or other wildlife violations can contact the STOP POACHING hotline at 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847), Lovell Game Warden James Hobbs at 307-548-7310, or Powell Game Warden Chris Queen at 307-754-5390. Tips may also be reported on line at wgfd.wyo.gov. Tips may result in a reward up to $5,000 if an arrest is made, and individuals can choose to remain anonymous.
