Q. Can I fish with six poles if a water still has ice?
A. Wyoming has 23 waters upon which up to six poles or tip-ups may be used when fishing through the ice. These waters are listed on page 7 of the fishing regulations booklet (visit wgfd.wyo.gov and select “Fishing” then “Fishing Regulations). Six poles may be used on these waters only during the ice-covered period and only when fishing through the ice. If you are fishing in open water, the standard two-pole regulation applies.
