LANDER - Four people were arrested in conjunction with the four moose poached outside of Hudson in October.
Phillip “Rocky” Hurtado, 73, of Arapahoe; Sammy Edlund, 29, ofGillette; Danielle Najera, 28, of Gillette, and Phillip J. Warren, 31,of Arapahoe were charged in connection to the four moose (two bulls and two cows)that were shot and left in the Hudson area on Oct.15, 2012.
All four were charged with two counts of taking antlered moose during a closed season, two counts of wanton destruction,and two counts of waste. Charges for trespassing to hunt are pending.
The investigation started with an anonymous tip from the public. Poaching reports may be made to the "Stop Poaching" Hotline:1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847) or 1-307-777-4330 for out-of-state "Stop Poaching"calls only. Violations may also be reported at regional offices or online at: wgfd.wyo.gov.
