CHEYENNE - Boaters are alerted they will be unable to register their boat in Wyoming during October.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be closing out the 2012 watercraft registration season and preparing for the 2013 season during October.
Watercraft registrations will resume again Nov. 1 at Game and Fish offices (regional and Cheyenne), with one-year registrations valid through 2013 and three-year registration valid through 2015.
Boaters will still be able to purchase 2012 aquatic invasive species stickers during October if needed.
For the 2013 season, if boaters purchase their aquatic invasive species decal sticker at the same time they register their watercraft, they will receive one decal for their watercraft. This decal will indicate both the aquatic invasive species decal purchase and the watercraft registration purchase.
Boats are reminded that in addition to purchasing their aquatic invasive species stickers online they can also renew their watercraft registrations online.
For more information on watercraft registration or safe boating requirements, visit the Game and Fish website at: wgfd.wyo.gov or call (307) 777-4600.
