CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is asking all hunters who purchased a 2012 spring turkey license to participate in the harvest survey now underway.
All resident and nonresident license holders, nearly 4,000 people, are receiving survey letters. The survey can be completed online or by filling out the form and returning it in the prepaid envelope. Hunter survey coordinator Gail Sheridan said the online method is more efficient.
“Each survey letter has a unique hunter key that allows individual access to the online survey,” Sheridan said. “By completing the survey online, the Game and Fish Department saves money in postage and processing and speeds up the procedure to compile survey results. The survey takes only about five minutes to complete and we appreciate the effort. Turkey hunters are an elite group of people in a position to help the Department manage this species in Wyoming.”
The Game and Fish Department emphasizes it is important for each license holder to complete the survey, even if they did not go hunting or did not harvest a turkey.
