CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is asking more than 13,000 small game, upland game bird, and waterfowl hunters to take a few minutes to participate in the online harvest survey now underway.
The surveys mailed out this week offer two ways to complete the survey. A hunter can help WGFD save some money by choosing to follow the instructions to complete their survey online, or fill in the paper survey and mail it in the postage paid envelope.
Harvest survey coordinator Gail Sheridan said regardless of the method used, it is important that hunters respond to the survey.
"Filling out the online survey is encouraged as it improves accuracy, saves mailing costs, and reduces processing time," Sheridan said. "The surveys are important to determine hunting activity for the various species, and information gatheredis used for setting seasons for the coming year. The survey only takes a few minutes, and the information is a very important management tools for Wyoming's wildlife."
