LARAMIE - Long-time data entry lead operator Bonnie Body has retired from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department after more than 32 years of service with the State of Wyoming.
Bonnie began her career with the state in 1979 as data entry operator with the Department of Administration and Information in Cheyenne. In 1980 she was promoted to lead data operator with A&I and in 1986 transferred to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department as data entry lead operator.
Game and Fish chief fiscal officer Rich Reynders said Bonnie was known as a dedicated employee with an exemplary work ethic during her years with the Game and Fish. "She has been an integral part of the success of the limited quota license issuance system," Reynders said. "She was responsible for the supervision of the temporary employees that data enter the limited quota draw applications."
Before the advent of online applications, her area was integral in the processing of more than 200,000 applications annually that had to be entered before the license draws could be conducted. It could be said that anyone that has applied through the mail for a hunting license in the last 25 years has had their application processed under her direction.
She will continue to make her home in Cheyenne on retirement.
